Leadership

"One ROTC" philosophy helps develop leaders of character for both our Army and our local communities, training leadership fundamentals across our formations.

The Sun Devil Battalion strives to become masters of the basics in technical and tactical skills related to Shoot, Moving, Communicating, and Medicating.  We do this through tough realistic training each week during Physical Training, Leadership Labs, and Field Training Exercises.  Our ROTC cadets are taught leadership, discipline, management techniques, soldier tasks and teamwork. Cadets are given the tools, training and experiences to help them succeed in any competitive environment.

Skills Development

Army ROTC Program provides Cadets with character-building skills, a diverse, self-disciplined civilian education and leadership development training. Sun Devil Battalion cadets gain invaluable experience to enhance their college life and prepare to become Army Officers upon graduation. Year after year, the Sun Devil Battalion serves as one of  the largest commissioning sources of Army Lieutenants, recognizing the program as one of the top in the country.

As a Sun Devil Battalion cadet, you will learn leadership skills from one of the best/ most qualified instructors in the nation.  The skills you will receive include leadership development, military tactical skills and adventure training.  These will take place both in the classroom and on the field. The skills you will learn as a cadet will transfer into civilian life. Companies value prospective employees with leadership skills.

Scholarships/Financial Aid

The Army ROTC program provides more nation-wide college scholarships than any other program in America, with merit-based benefits going to more than 17,000 students every year.  The total amount of scholarship benefits is over $ 320 million nationwide. Scholarship paths include awards to college-bound high school students, campus based awards and nursing, medical, and graduate degree program scholarships.
