Dallas Eubanks is the Scholarship and Enrollment Officer for Arizona State University Army ROTC. Prior to this, he served as an Assistant Professor at the United States Army’s Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He retired from the Army in 2009 after 21 years of active service, which included command from platoon to battalion, and staff positions in Brigade, Division and International Headquarters (NATO). His key military assignments included platoon leader stationed in Germany during the Cold War with deployment to Operation Desert Shield/Storm, and twice a battery commander with the 4th Infantry Division at Fort Hood, Texas. Later, he served as a Public Affairs Officer at Fort Stewart, Georgia, and while deployed to Operation Joint Guard in Bosnia. Additionally, he served as a Battalion Executive Officer at Fort Hood, Texas, and later as a Brigade Fire Support Officer while deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom. He later served as Division Chief of Operations with the 4th Infantry Division in both Iraq and Fort Hood. His last assignment prior to retirement from the U.S. Army was as Professor of Military Science and ROTC Battalion Commander at Michigan Technological University.
Mr. Eubanks earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Arizona State University in 1988, and later a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College in 2000. He also studied at the University of Oxford in the summer of 2010. His military awards include the Legion of Merit, two Bronze Star Medals, four Meritorious Service Medals, and the Combat Action Badge, among others. He was named the Fort Leavenworth Military Instructor of the Year in 2006, was selected as an All-American Post Commander within the Veterans of Foreign Wars service organization, and currently serves as the Vice President (Iraq-Afghanistan) of the National 4th Infantry Division Association.
Mr. Eubanks is married to the former Lisa Rae Steiner (ASU ’88) of Canton, Ohio, and they have two daughters. Carrie, age 22, is a Certified Medical Assistant and lives in Kansas City, Missouri. Hannah, age 23, ASU Class of 2019 Barrett Honors Graduate, is currently a 1st Year Law Student at the University of Kansas.
